Subscriptions in a country that pays with wallets.

In short
How can a subscription business collect renewals in Nepal?
TolaPay offers three collection methods per subscription. Auto-charge renews card customers through Stripe. Invoice link emails an NPR invoice with a pay link for Khalti, eSewa, mobile banking or bank transfer, and sends reminders before and after the due date. Wallet draws the renewal from the customer's prepaid balance, with a low-balance alert before it runs out. All three end in the same invoice.paid webhook.
The problem
What gets in the way today.
Almost nobody has a card on file
Recurring card billing assumes a saved card. Most of your members pay with eSewa, Khalti or their bank app.
Chasing renewals by hand
A spreadsheet of who has paid this month, and a WhatsApp message to everyone who hasn't.
Members who want to stop, or upgrade
Without self-service, every change is a conversation.

Questions
Common questions.
Can renewals be charged automatically?
For card customers, yes, through Stripe. For Khalti and eSewa customers, renewals arrive as an invoice link with reminders, or draw from a prepaid wallet.
Can I show VAT-inclusive prices?
Yes. Set the plan to VAT-inclusive and the price customers see is what they pay, with the 13% carved out on the invoice.
